Published: NSP2 mutation stabilizes a rare C-terminal conformation

Published:

A collaborative Wake Forest study reports that the K294E change in the rotavirus factory-forming protein NSP2 stabilizes a rare C-terminal conformation. The work combines X-ray crystallography with molecular dynamics simulations to connect a single amino-acid change with shifts in the protein’s structural ensemble and viroplasm formation.
